About me

I've been a pioneer in many ways I am the first Black American from Toccoa (Stephens County), GA to be admitted to and attend the Georgia Institute of Technology. I am an official GA Tech "Trailblazer" being one of the sixty-five Blacks out of 10,000 students to attend Tech in 1970. I married at the age of 20 and dropped out of college however after all my kids were grown and emancipated I went back to GA Tech (The Harvard of the South) at the age of 44 and obtained my B.S. degree in Management Information Systems at the age of 46 years old. I am also a professional lyrical jazz poet writing in 4 moods(Romantic, Philosophical, Ethnic, and Spiritual) as well as an author My book, "Bedtime Stories for Grown-Ups," is the second book in my"Teachable Moments Series".and is being sold on Amazon.com, and Barnes and Noble currently. My books are motivational as well as inspirational whereas my poetry is piercing, thought-provoking, and moving so say the least. I invite my readers and supporters to take part and share in my dreams among which are to one day earn the title of Poet Laureate Of the State of Georgia, achieving the goal of becoming the best selling author and to touch the lives of others throughout the world making a positive difference in such a way that they develop a hunger to discover their purpose while sojourning on this physical plane. I like to body-surf, swim, fish, travel and perform.
