About me

I am quiet but passionate with a love of detail, nuance, romance and laughter. Over the years I have grown more confident, hopefully more expressive and literate. I am seeking someone who likes to embrace life - a match with love of sky and sea, communicative and outgoing. My interests are wide-ranging although the ocean with fishing, sailing, rowing and anything on the water still draws me toward the coast. I also love the history of people and places, art, architecture, and all that is visual. Home and place are important to me but I do not feel bounded by physical community. As much as I can, I try to travel and hope to keep exploring destinations near and far. Adventurous by nature, I like to explore unknown paths and byways, stretching out before me on a map, on foot or in my imagination. Technology has transformed the way we look at the world as Thomas Friedman tells us, The World is Flat...but it is still rich with novelty which sparks the spirit of discovery.

Looking for

At this time I have really found it important to be open to other people and to the give and take of friendship and relationship. While I love to keep active; settling in with someone I can trust after a full day is very restorative. Simple but true. And the endeavor to reserve special times to build special memories is important to me.
